2 deaths in a few month says how much this is needed.

It's just so sad for all the families our thoughts are with them. It would be a safer with traffic lights at the road junction incorporating a pelican crossing.

This should not have happened, when will the council listen to the public, this could have been avoided, a speedy recovery to the young girl in hospital and heartfelt thoughts to the family of the poor girl who lost her life. Stop this now.

this crossing is a horrible crossing to use..i would be interested to know whether accidents on this black spot have risen now we have an influx of traffic coming in to shaw from outside areas to use places like Asda,Aldi, and shay wake for example..Shaw is basically a village not a big town and the levels of traffic on our local roads are more than they were designed for and are quite frankly ridiculous ...speeding along tht road appears to be an issue as well..perhaps speed cameras might be useful..just a thought along side a pelican crossing....

this crossing is dangerous, it is not sufficient for the location and the number of people that use it.

like many I've said this needed resolving a long time ago. drivers pay scant attention to the crossing and I never feel safe walking over the road here. My thoughts are with the family of both girls

This should have been done a long time ago! How many more people need to be injured or sadly lose their lives before the council decide to sort it out! RIP to the young girl and elderly person who both have lost their lives in the past couple of years because of this crossing and I really hope the young girls friend get's better soon and is okay!
