I understand it costs around 1 million pounds on average to investigate and deal with a fatal road collision, how many zebra's could be replaced for £1million. 1 life lost is 1 life too many, my thoughts go out to Annalise's family and friends.

There should be NO zebra crossings in any urban areas but especially town centres or where there is a bend nearby or a school. Zebra's are from a bygone age where there was much less traffic as they date from 1949, vehicles were much slower and there was infinately less traffic on the roads of britain. If replacing ALL the zebra's in town centres saves just ONE life, then it's worth it, irrespective of cost. We have the technology, let's use it.

This crossing needs changing and quickly. How many more need to be killed or injured before something is done?

Let's not lose any more lives in this dangerous crossing, forget how much it will cost and do the right thing

In 2013 with the amount of traffic on the roads, there should be NO zebra crossings in urban areas, replace this one AND the zebra crossing in the centre of Royton

This stretch of road is extremely dangerous. I am driver and I always try to avoid that part of the road when possible. It needs proper crossings with speed cameras too. People sometimes go round the corner at nearly 40 mph.
