Terrible crossing, can't believe it's taken this for the local council to do anything about it.

This crossing has been flagged as dangerous for years. Too many people have had to suffer tradgedy in their lives, losing loved ones and injuring others. Please. make this road safer by installing lights and lets not let the death of this young girl turn into a list of fatalaties but the start of safety awareness by our council in our community.

This clearly should of been sorted out many years so my question is why has nothing been done about it yet by the council of Oldham?
