Should have been done a long, long time ago. School across the road, huge mills around the corner, traffic is and always has been horrendous there. I drive through there a lot and lived up the road as a kid myself. This latest tragedy should never have happened.

the crossing is on a busy main road with lorries passing it frequently and turning onto linney lane. if the linney lane junction cannot be made safer for drivers and pedestrians then perhaps the crossing can be made safer

How many more lives will be lost before the local council puts in a pelican crossing. About time local residents consider legal action.

WE know we liek the town to look nice, but instead of little palnt pots here and there can we have some traffic safety!!!!??? Crossings where they should be! I live in High Crompton, Rochdale Road is used as a race track along with Thornham Lane outside St James School - come on its not rocket science guys is logic - too many tragedies, too many lives taken too soon!!

This needs to be implemented as a matter or urgency before there is another death on this crossing. If this had been done after the last fatality on that crossing less then 12 months ago this little girl may have been here today.
