My opinion which is a fact is that no person should be doing time for something that they didn't do especially without any evidence to seal a case that's just wrong

All evidence should be reviewed again, any and all witnesses should be interviewed again and prosecutors, lawyers and judges who dropped the ball on this young man should be removed from the case especially if there is no clear evidence linking him to any crime. Also consider mitigating factors, this young man could be enrolled in college and striving to live a productive life but instead he is doing 17 years for a crime he did not commit. This is how the judicial system railroad the young youth especially Black and Brown Americans. No programs,no job training etc just throw them in prison so we don't have to deal with them. There are some cases where prison is warranted for crimes committed but if any man is to be found innocent of a crime he did not commit he deserve a new trial or time served and to be reunited back with his family.
