We are protesting against the widespread injustice and oppression on the people of Pakistan. The President, the Prime Minister, the federal government, and even the Army compromise our sovereignty.
Families are being kidnapped and murdered. The murder of our Minorities Minister, Shahbaz Bhatti, and the murder of Punjabi Governor, Salman Taseer are incidents that show the government’s total failure in curbing terrorism within the country. A government that cannot protect its ministers cannot be expected to provide security to its people.
The constant increase of Petroleum prices and gas are one of the many hardships that the people of Pakistan have to face on a daily basis. With the cost of living increasing, many people are forced into poverty. Thirty percent of our people do not have enough money to provide sufficient meals for their children. On top of that, many hours of the day are spent without light and electricity, thus causing businesses to close down, and putting unnecessary stress upon our people.
We want to have humane values while continuously upholding the dignity of our nation. We want to restore the sovereignty and undeniable rights of the people. We want someone whose mission is to create a free society based on justice. We know that national renewal is only possible if the people are truly free.
The price of gas is just too much now. People are struggling just to feed their kids and the govt does nothing but fill their pockets. Enough is enough
