Injustice in Federal law
Justice? Not many Americans are aware that if you are charged with any crime in Federal court, you are automatically are going to serve prison time. It does not matter if you are a career criminal or a well respected member of society. Most people who have never been in trouble before in their lives first ask why? Well have never been in trouble before, and after I made a poor decision and life changing error I found out. Our government court system is very robotic, and does not waver from it at all. We live in what most people, including myself as the greatest country in the world full of opportunities. We employ thousands of government employees, and for the most part they are spared from such things as unemployment, as well as prosecution. Yes, I am talking about the 300,000 plus employees owing more than 3 billion dollars in back taxes. That is an increase from the previous year of almost 3 percent. Are any of these individuals being prosecuted? Are they paying these back taxes back to the IRS. To be fair, only 3 percent of these employees are delinquent That is not bad compared to the over 8 percent of the public that are delinquent, but less us to the math. It round numbers that still comes to approximately 9 million dollars. I as a citizen of the United States ask are these employees allowed to still have their jobs, are they being prosecuted, are they being punished at all? I know personally, I made an honest error a couple of years ago and this past year the IRS demanded that I pay almost $3500 I owed to the them. The are citizens as well and deserve to be held accountable for their mistakes just as the everyday ordinary citizen. I will get off that topic for now, but that is just a small part of delinquency among federal employees.
A person who is a model citizen, gainfully employeed, husband, father, and continuing an education makes a terrible mistake. Yes, a mistake, poor judgment, or error. It happens everyday folks. Some small, and some large. This person is remorseful, accepted responsibility, and received forgiveness from God and their family. And has even stated that they deserve some punishment. Originally charged in the state of resident, this person made his bond, went to work the next day because they have a family to support. No more offenses. Just waiting a court date, so that they may have an opportunity to receive a fair trial. Nearly a month goes by, and just before leaving for work a knock on the door comes with 3 agents with a warrant for his arrest under a federal warrant. Having never been in trouble, it was a learn as you go situation. I was informed I could bond out by agents, and return home and work. This was not even close to the truth. I was kept overnight, and brought before a judge the next day for a “detention hearing”. What is that I ask? A judge will determine whether or not I would be allowed to leave or remain in custody until trial. Are you kidding? I am innocent until proven guilty right, due process etc...? They informed me as well that my employer would be contacted. Why I am innocent until proven guilty, right? Well, as I gripped the chair I was sitting in, I awaited the judges decision. I was told it is a 50/50 chance. I also witnessed 10 other individuals before me get turned down, and remain in custody. The judge did allow me to leave, but their has been a huge price. I was put under home confinement (which I must pay for), all electronics removed from my home, and no internet at all. Among others stipulations. Now, I am still innocent until proven guilty. Everyone of us are allowed that right. I was already not only labeled guilty before I have had a trial, but treated like I deserved the death penalty. Could this really be happening? This is America, right? My family and I were forced to file bankruptcy or lose everything we worked so hard for because I was unable to provide the primary income for my household. Now some will go “forced”, yes, what would you call it? So my reputation is ruined, my career of nearly 20 years, my continued college education put on hold, and I cannot work to support my family, which put more stress on not just my wife but my children. I have admitted I did wrong. I accepted responsibility. My boss even guaranteed my job if I could clear this matter. It is then I am informed that there is no possible way of any punishment other than prison. No probation, no not in federal court. No counseling. No not in federal court. Throw everyone in federal court in prison. Of course that is the answer. No second chance? No chance for redemption? No, No, No! Life is over. Now do not be ridiculous and say life is not over, you will get out eventually. With a chance for a career as a door greeter, or burger flipper. Yes, life, dignity, confidence is over.
Let's explore the punishment phase now. Just FYI, government is filled with robots and puppets. Do they look at the whole person? His history, his record, his reputation? Well, yes they do actually. After they look at this bingo chart to determine the amount of years in prison you will serve. Let me reiterate, after you are found guilty, and look at a chart. Yes, Alex I will take prison for one first-time offender for 10 years. Oh, how fortunate for you, you get a year off because you behaved well the whole time in home confinement. So, instead of 10 years, we will offer you around 6 years. Man I should have played the power ball. Am I lucky or what? After the look at their bingo chart, and do a few calculations, the slot machine spits our your sentence. Look, why employ people, when I can write a real simple program to do that for you. No, more bingo charts, or so that you can see. Use cheap labor, hire college kids to come in and input the information. Save a lot of money, maybe even put a dent into the national debt. That is if we don't give anymore money we don't have away or borrowing money we cannot pay back.
I would like to state a couple of points. First, I allowed to state these opinions because the first amendment gives me that right. You are more than welcome to speak you mind, just as I have. Innocent until proven guilty, wow where do I begin? What a joke. That is only one illusion that we as Americans must start investigating before we fall victim to one of many of the illusions. It is not just our right, but it is our responsibility to question our leaders.
I love this country, and I have the utmost respect for our military doing the most difficult job to ensure we are guaranteed freedom and rights as citizens. Do not stand by and just go with the flow. If it offends you, or upsets you, or see an injustice say something, do something.
