The importance of this archaeological site, and the efforts of the Friends of Elefsina (Eleusis) and the Gaia Project, cannot be overstated. In many ways, this site represents the source of what we now call Western Civilization, and it's history is an important and unique reminder of who we are and where we are going - which is now a tragic comedy being played out on global scale.
The archaeological site itself is in dire need of the international attention it deserves. It has already been ravaged by the rapid and unchecked industrialization of the last century, and now it is time to give something back. Please support this initiative!
