Demolishing this building would be a disgrace. It is a perfect candidate for rehabilitation.

could not a thoughtful design include a tower built tangential to it the repects the old building's proportions and style? The new contemporary could have lines that are the same height as the low floor detailing and another 'line' at the cornice detailing. Otherwise the new building could have clean modern lines and materials. Look at how europeam cities often modern functional towers adjacent to historic ones. thanks

This is a historic building that should be saved. There are plenty of other disused parcels owned by Emory that should be used such as parking lots instead of demolishing a historic building.

With so many parking lots creating dead spaces all around the center of Atlanta, there should not be any talk of demolishing our architectural history for development.

Atlanta is notorious for tearing down historic buildings to build a glass tower. One day the city will look upon such decisions with disfavor and take notice of buildings that give the city character.

The city needs to work to retain and reuse historic structures rather than demolishing them. It damages the feel of the city when so many historic buildings are removed.

Historic buildings like this one should not ever be demolished in Atlanta as we have so few and because we are rife with neglected and underdeveloped lots all over this city.

Let's find an adaptive reuse for this fine old building. Dr. Kaufmann had his clinic there for many years and he was quite a force in Atlanta medicine.

As an Atlanta institution and repository of history, Emory should seek to preserve the fabric of downtown. I can think of at least 3 parking lots nearby which would serve equally as well for such a site.
