Sammy Hall Singers were so great when I was a teen. They came to our little Church camp in Greenfield, Ohio and gave concerts that seemed to be like a professional rock concert for us. I listened to the "Live" album over and over. I still have those songs and quoted scriptures in my heart.

Sammy's was so wonderful to listen to and he was able to mentally reach a crowd of thousands even if they had never even heard of him before. God Bless his wife and children and Sammy Hall who should be in Heaven entertaining for Jesus.

One day we will be able to hear your music forever in Heaven. I know one of my dear friends Ms. Gillis (your aunt) is so happy you are with her in Heaven. She was so very proud of you. Love you Sammy. God Bless and Prayers for all.

When I was young teen I was very fortunate to be working with other ministries and had the opportunity to work with Sammy's. When Sammy was coming through our area, his Aunt (Ms. Gillis to me - she and I attended the same church and were very close and had become friends even with the unusual age difference) had told me about him. She wanted me to meet her nephew that was doing such a great ministry for the Lord, as well as for so many young people! LOL she was like a little girl and just so giggly when she started talking about him, being so proud of him, his family, and all his band members and employees that worked with him. I was able not only to see Sammy in his ministry working, but also through the eyes of a family member. I was able to spend more time than the average teen with his family when they came with him, and also his band members and other employees, Not only is he a great musician and missionary for God, he was a great husband and father. He was asked one time what he could have done different. One of the things he felt was very important was he wish he could have done more with his family during his tours. He did take his family at times. Of course he took them in our area probably a little more than others because he had family here at the time. He even talked about how he wished he could have them on the road more than he does. In those days it was a bit harder to do so. We have come a long ways in that area. Just the travel itself. There are stores of all kinds open 24/7. There are travel buses that are even more comfortable than the ones in those days. There are also more hotels/motels if one chose to stay in one all over the country that are of good quality too. There was a big turn on the education of our children. There is now a big acceptance of children being home schooled. Even if he would not have taken his family from their permanent home, I know he would have been the first to have his family with him even more than

I was introduced to Sammy in 1974, he was the first singer I know to do contemperary gospel, besides Gary Paxton. I brought Sammy into the high sclools in my town 3 times to do about 9 day assemblies and 9 very successful crusades with 100's of decisions for Christ .. Just Amazing how God worked through this man of God. what a great singer and song writer

Saw him in 82. Man could he belt it out. Sammy always kept it real and never lost focus on the message.

I grew up listening to the records my mom had. He really spoke to our generation in a way the older hymns just didnt reach. Long overdue honor for a legend.
