Delaney and Bonnie were a driving band that did the extraordinary; they invited the best on the stage to play with them; among them, George Harrison, Ringo, Eric Clapton, to name a few. They encouraged their band to make their own names in the business and that they did. Rita Coolidge, Leon Russell, Bobby Whitlock all went on to follow their own star, but it was Delaney and Bonnie that started them. Bonnie wrote Superstar (now a standard) with Leon Russell, and A Bottle of Red Wine with Eric Clapton. She has written more than 88 songs. Their big hit is "I've Got a Never Ending Love for You" which is well remembered today. We have lost Delaney, but Bonnie continues to appear on many Benefits as she has for years. She still has a huge fan base, and still sings with her glorious voice.
