The Hockey Hall of Fame selection committee officially confirmed Bernie Nicholls as a new inductee this morning. His statistical record finally received the formal recognition it deserves. I am closing this project now that the objective has been met.

Bernie is one of eight players to score 70 goals in one season, one of five to earn 150 points in one season and a career of more than 1200 points. Help get his rightful place in the Hockey Hall of Fame

The latest surge in support has grabbed the attention of several hockey journalists interested in the statistical case for Bernie Nicholls. I am currently compiling the data regarding his scoring records to prepare for a formal submission to the selection committee.

Still holds the record for most goals in a season for LA Kings at 70, one of only 6 players to ever do this. #58 career goals, #51 career points, #14 careers points per game and not in Hall of Fame. Most points that hasn’t been inducted. 1100+ games in NHL. His career success was not all due to Gretzky. No awards or Stanley Cups but give the guy his due!! The PumperNicholl signature move named by Bob Miller, legendary Kings announcer.

1200 points. Over a point per game. 2 way player. Did it all. My favorite of all time. He had a better career than roenick. If he played in canada he wouldve been in 10 years ago. Sham.

My husband played this sport with all his heart. He lives for it. How his number was not retired in L.A. at the Forum and how he has not been inducted to the HOF is beyond belief. It should not be about politics, it should simply be about a player’s ability to score in the game and in the hearts of the fans. It’s time.

Ridiculous some of the players in ahead of Bernie. His stats speak for themselves. Hockey is a team sport. You can't win a Stanley cup on your own and shouldn't be considered a prerequisite to nomination or induction.Vote in The Pumpernicholl!!...Cheers'

This is long over due. Bernie is one of the highest scorers in history. In addition, he continues to be an amazing ambassador for the sport and is always willing and ready to participate in charitable events. One of the few retired players who still truly loves to play. His induction into the HHOF should have come long before Rob Blake's, yo be honest.

His stats speak for themselves, in what HALL OF FAME would he not be member with a record like his. It would have been wonderful to have had this happen while his Mom & Dad were still with us but it is a disgrace to the league that a player of his statue is not in the HHOF.

Bernie has so many records and contributed to the NHL history in so many ways. He should be in the Hall of Fame!
