Its unfair that this graduating class can only receive 5 tickets. This is their special day and they deserve to have all of their loved ones there to witness a huge milestone in their lives being achieved.

Students should be able to have whoever they want to come to their graduation. Even though seats might be limited it's still the student's choice to invite whoever they want. 5 tickets is not enough. Even though I'm not graduating this year, I have 3 sets of parents that will be attending plus all of my siblings and I would be really upset if I had to only pick 5 people out of a big family like I have.

I have a small list of people who have helped me get through this journey but some of my friends have large families and I dont think its fair for them. at the very least they need to have something were people could give up there tickets for others if they arent going to use them. Sad to see this is going into place.

My daughter graduated from NIU and Undergrad and grad were separate as were man y of the schools. We were allowed 15 tickets and the family got to see her graduate.

I think it would be a great idea to have the graduates go one day and the undergraduates go the next day. It would make the ceremony go by more quickly and then everyone would not have to sit for 4 to 5 hours to watch their loved ones graduate.

I believe that the University shoud have asked for the students opinions on this situation and should conside that people who are graduating are and have been supporting the University and have been paynig tuition of 18,000 to 20,000 dolars a year to accomplish an acheivement that some people are the first to complete in their family.

That is so hard for big families, blended families, and divorced families. Who stays home while the others get to go?

5 tickets does not even allow for grandparents to atten :-( 15 tickets or different times would be much better!

Students work very hard and pay a lot of money for their educations and all family should be included in celebrating their special day!

I was enraged when I read five tickets per person. My husband and I have four children and my degree has been an eight year process. My family has been supportive of me and my educational pursuit. I wish that ISU would recognize the love, support, and encouragement that family members and friends give to their students is equally as important to the student as the hard work that they personally put into their education. I completely wholeheartedly agree with the idea of separating into different colleges for the purposes of allowing more of the students' supporters to attend their graduation. ISU would be following a model that many other colleges use if they chose to go that route.

This is completely wrong! 18,000 to 20,000 a year per graduate should have been enough for at least 15 tickets per student. Just saying..... So what about the rest of our family that has been there and helped both financially and mentally though these past few years? I feel there should be a minimum increase to at least 15 tickets per student. On the other hand separate each field and have it open to all. This has changed my mind of ISU and I will not be attending next spring.

I should not have to pick and choose which members of my family can't come. The university knew if overcrowding was an issue well beforehand. We should not have to limit our friends and family because the university failed to plan properly.
