We, the residents on Avila Road in San Mateo, support the "critical need" for painting the curbs red at the corners of Avila Road and Alameda de las Pulgas as soon as possible. Too often, throughout the week and during sports or school events at Aragon High School, autos, SUV's, trucks or vans are parked on Alameda de las Pulgas right up to the corner of Avila Road. This makes it virtually impossible for a driver wishing to turn from Avila onto Alameda to see oncoming cars. There have been too many accidents, many of which have not been reported to the police department, and numerous near accidents which could have been avoided if cars were not allowed to park on Alameda de las Pulgas at Avila Road.
Lets protect not only our residents on Avila and in the Aragon community, but our many students who drive to and from school on Alameda de las Pulgas.
