Borders literally define a country and ours are being violated daily. Further, we are being so inundated by immigrants that we have no time to assimilate people who have already been here ten, five, three or a year ago - yet there ate many millions more. It us likely that most if these people are not, otherwise, criminals and could become good citizens one day, po provided they learn English, are given an education in our history, culture, government/civics and willing lo y pledge themselves to this country - but this takes TIME. Unfortunaterly, there are some comi g in who already have criminal uh nal histories, who are child and sex and drug traffickers and work for the cartels - coming from 55 or more countries it is likely that there are terrorists or, potential terrorists among them. Many are sick and carry communicable diseases, such as measles (varieties of once eradicated illnesses that our people have no immunity against) HIV/Aids, cholera, Hepitidis A/B/C, Meningitis and TB; yet, we are alliwi g millions of u vetted people to come in, not knowing g who they are, why they have come and what they may be bringing with them. Further, we are creating a dangerous two-tiered system, wherein illegal immigrants are given little or no punishment for crimes that routinely imprison legal citizens: identity theft, drunk driving, rape, sex trafficking, even voter fraud. We should once again stop all new entrants into the United States for a period of no less than 20 years - as we have done in the past - to assimilate all those who will not be deported and reestablish the rule of law. This would still allow a small nu.ber of genuine applicants for entry because of threat of genocide or actual personal persecution by a sitting president, limited, of course, in scope and numbers and not to be abused for political purposes. For today, we need a wall where needed and useful as identified by Border Patrol and Ho.ekand Security, an increased budget for both, as well as oth
