Employees are the most valuable assets the department has. To send them out short handed to do their job is not only irresponsible but dangerous. Other departments send their trucks out with 4 firefighters which has reduced workers comp injuries and claims.

As a retired 26 yr NJ career firefighter, the last 6 as Lieutenant.. I speak from experience.. no apparatus should respond with less than an officer, a driver and 2 firefighters! 4 man companies are essential to safety of everyone- the firefighters and civilians ! Do the right thing and increase manpower so nobody dies! Again, I speak from experience.. my dept lost 5 firefighters from lack of manpower! That was a third of the on duty crew!

I’m signing this petition because my son’s life is at risk every single day, as is every other mother’s son or daughter.

Having 4 firefighters per truck is critical for safety and efficiency in emergencies, and this station should increase form 2 to 4.

Support your local firefighters, give them the tools and staffing they need to get the job done safely. I support my son who’s a firefighter and hope you would too!

All the public safety is equally important. But you cannot place all of your dollars and manpower into one bucket. Two firefighters on a first responding engine is an enormous safety risk. Please support all of public safety equally.

I’m a volunteer firefighter with West Manchester Township. Seeing our problems with staffing, us sometimes relying on other departments to help supplement and support us is tough when career departments only have 2 people. People calling 911 shouldn’t have to worry about if there’s enough people coming to help them.

Firefighters, and all first responders, deserve our support, and this is a crucial and tangible way in which we can provide that support and thank them for risking their lives for our communities. Proper and adequate staffing literally equals the opportunity to save and protect lives, our and theirs.

Proper staffing is critical for the safety of the firefighters and the citizens they serve, especially since more housing is being constructed.

Coming from a family rooted in firefighting, I whole heartedly believe that there should be more than a 2 man crew on each piece!
