They are living beings and it's a horrible thing to have to go through. I've seen dogs with heat stroke from working in a clinic. Many from being left in a vehicle on a hot day. Some who recovered were never the same.

Minnesotans hold our citizens to a higher standard of animal welfare than this. We need to show this by punishing avts of animal cruelty to the fullest extend possible. Please consider raising the fines and punishments associated with carelessly leaving animals in hot cars to suffer.

And make it ok for a citizen to break out a window in a vehicle to save a pet. Encourage stores to have an employee patrol the lot and also put up signs as a warning

85.00 is way too little of a fine.Should be 200.00 or more.

The fine should be at least a $100 fine and at least $500 if the animal dies .
$25 is barely a slap on the wrist, more like a swing and a miss!

I think this is a very good thing to be leaning forward too because it's a horrible thing and kills animals and even people everyday. I lost my dog on 6-30-13 because my stepdad left her in the car too long and she died cause it was so hot that day and in that locked car. He didn't get charged with anything at all. I'm here to help change.
