I have used rehabilitation services for my dog and it helped him so much in his final days. I would not hesitate to do this again.

Please listen to the animal owners who are seeking rehabilitation for their pets by qualified physical therapists who are certified (and insured) in animal rehabilitation. Physical therapists with certification in animal rehabilitation do not need to be directly supervised by a veterinarian - just as a human physical therapist would not be directly supervised by a human physician (that would be extremely redundant- an unnecessary use of the physician’s time and resources)

Physical therapists with further education in treating animals are an asset to consumers and the health care of animals. Greater access is a benefit rather than limiting the ability of people to access health care for pets.

Other allied professionals have the qualifications and knowledge to assist vets. It’s the same in the human world where physios and assiting GPs due to shortages. It’s awful animal Physio’s do not have the recognition human Physio’s do…..especially when a some vet Physio’s are already human Physio’s!

Animals need physical therapists. I have two dogs that would be in bad shape without them. What the hell is wrong with people?

I can’t imagine not taking my dogs to their therapists. They are a huge part of their overall health and well-being.

The more licensed animal health care professionals, the better lives for our pets. I practice in Australia (I have a degree in Physiotherapy and a masters in veterinary Physiotherapy) and the amount of animals
I’ve helped, often just by referring them to get better pain relief and working with vets!
I have found that the vets and I can bounce ideas off each with complex cases and I am an extra set of eyes for them if I think something is off.

as a physical therapy licensed to treat humans and animals in Nevada, I fully support my California colleagues and the pets/owners who would benefit from their professional skills and abilities.

There is no one more qualified to address animal rehabilitation than a physical therapist.

Animal physiotherapists should be allowed to treat animals just like in other countries all over the world

Qualified Physical Therapists enhance animal care immeasurably and it is vital that they continue to practice.

Physiotherapy is such an important part of animal care and physiotherapists are best placed to provide this!

My dogs have been to physical therapy in the past to maintain their health for agility and other dog sports and to support them in their old age. My dogs would not have had the same quality if life or longevity without physical therapy.
All animal owners should be able to have access to this service.

This is ridiculous. It is just a much added knowledge for canine physios to be human physios as well.

With a pup currently in PT to negate a double tplo surgery it’s saved her quality of life and my wallet.
