Final supporters
A number of residents have raised concerns about the capacity on the 170 bus service and the reliability of that service.
Many local people depend on the 170 bus, but find that it’s often overcrowded at key times, and that the service is not frequent enough to meet their needs.
Accordingly, the undersigned hereby ask that Transport for London immediately increase the capacity on the 170 bus service, and the reliability of that service.

I keep refreshing the page and it is just wild seeing how many people are fed up with the exact same commute struggles I deal with every single morning. It really feels like we have hit a turning point where they just cannot ignore the sheer number of us waiting at those stops anymore.

Getting so anxious watching the counter climb toward that first hundred and it honestly feels like we are right on the edge of getting someone to actually listen to us. If you can just blast this link out to your group chats or neighborhood pages right this second it would be the exact push we need to get over this hurdle and finally have a real number to take to them.

School kids are asked to wait for another bus when they really need to take that particular bus at 8.30. My daughter got detention at school because we had to wait for another bus. Buses come full in rush hours. Can we have more services between 8 and 9 am?
The bus frequency should be every 5-6mns all the time. The Lombard road area has lot of building sites for more block of flats so it is normal to increase with the higher number of residents living in this area.
Not enough buses run at busy times, always overcrowded in the morning rush hour especially...and then in the evening rush hour, the bus sits at Victoria bus station for so long ‘regulating the service’ which is just an excuse for the shortage in the service.
It's so hard to collect my daughter from school and get back with her due to having a 10 month old in a buggy as there's never any buggy space also even without my youngest daughter it's hard for us to get a bus back with even the two of us. We always find ourselves walking home
Please increase the capacity of the 170 bus. I've been using this route for 9yrs and there has been an increased number of passengers over the years and still the same bus with a few seats. Also on multiple occasions bus driver had to say no to passengers waiting on the bus stop due to the full bus.

I use the York Road Bus stop and lately it’s just been insanely busy on the 170. Worrying for disabled and elderly people. I’m having foot surgery in january and apprehensive about getting the service. Can’t they make it a double decker?
