The proposed changes would create serious safety issues. Among other things, it would prevent rescue, ambulance, other emergency vehicles, family, friends and homeowners from getting to homes quickly and directly risking the wellbeing of community residents and other persons in the neighborhood. It would also significantly limit the ways of ingress and egress. The risks associated with these changes for outweigh any purported benefits.

It seems to me that the proposal to make a section of Manhasset Woods Road one-way would NOT discourage drivers but would be an inconvenience to local residents and lead to increased traffic on Dogwood, both sides, and Bonnie Heights. NO to all the proposed changes.

We have lived in Flower Hill for the past 20 years. We drive on these roads all the time and do not see an appreciable increase in the traffic that would justify making certain streets one way.
We strenuously object to the proposed changes to our local roads. The changes proposed would be a real inconvenience and negatively affect the value of our homes.
If there are any increase in traffic, it is probably due to extensive electrical and gas utility work causing a severe backup of traffic on Port Blvd.
Traffic on Port Blvd should clear up substantially once that work is completed.
Very truly yours,
Steve & Michelle Roberts

I do not support these changes. A safer solution must be found. These suggestions only add to the danger of driving or walking in our neighborhoods with the additional traffic onto Middle Neck Road.

With an all volunteer fire and ambulance service, anything that may increase the amount of time it takes volunteers, driving in their personal vehicles and subject to all traffic laws, to arrive at their headquarters, puts lives and property at too great a risk!

The proposed changes will increase traffic on Country Club Drive. With the increased usage of traffic apps motorists will find alternate streets within our village to avoid traffic. Changing a few streets to one way will not solve the problem.

I am not in favor of the one way streets being discussed!
