Imagine a place where all children, no matter the ability, can play side by side. A play environment where children can build confidence, strengthen muscles, exercise, and foster friendships. Play is an important part of the social, physical, and emotional development of every child. Simply put, kids need to play with other kids. Yet for so many kids with disabilities, their days are spent with parents, doctors, nurses, therapists, and other adults. On fully inclusive playgrounds, children with disabilities can swing, slide, and climb with their friends - as well as with their siblings and parents - which is something they may have never been able to do before. The benefits of inclusive playgrounds doesn't stop with kids who have challenges. Able-bodied children learn and grow on accessible playgrounds by interacting with others who are in some ways different from them. Accessible playgrounds also allow parents and other adults with disabilities to play with their children - something that's often not possible on a traditional playground. Every way you look at it, fully inclusive playground helps break social barriers. It can become an environment where everyone learns to respect and understand each other. Join us in our efforts to build this universally inclusive playground in Gillette, WY by signing this petition. For more information about our organization, please visit www.abilityangels.com. Together, we can create a place where limitations are forgotten and differences celebrated. Thank you

Worked with special needs kids for years and they deserve a space of their own too. Hope this happens soon.

My son uses a wheelchair and it kills me that he just sits on the sidelines at the park while his sister plays. Gillette needs to do better.
