It should be appropriate to include the Ga word for welcome because the monument sits on Ga land. To make the salutation even more representative of the nation's tribal make-up, I suggest the word welcome be rendered in three of our northern languages as well.

I believe Ga people should feature prominently on national dialogue particularly on issues concerning the Greater Accra region of Ghana. This is Ga land. We stand united as Ga people. We stand united as Ghanaians.

I think the welcome language that has been promoted the most is "*Aatuu Mohee*" or "*Mohee Aatuu*"! We need to be consistent so that we can be effective in getting things changed! Let the GTC and the GARHC determine the right and appropriate word for welcome. Frankly, ooobake, is hardly used, not popular and does not appeal to many of us, GaDangmes.
