Inclusion of Manipuri language as an associate language of Assam

I support manipuri language as associate official language of Assam

I am also fully support from my heart for the inclusion of Manipuri Language as one of the Associate official Languages of Assam.

This is vital right of the citizen of India. We manipuri people in Assam are an indegeous the period 15th century onwards.

Manipuri deserves this place in Assam..manipuri are the earliest inhabitants of Barak Valley...Barak Valley was ruled by Gambhir Singh at one time....even the kacharis came to Barak Valley and married Manipuris...the best example is Queen Induprabha, the last Queen of cachar....it is said that Kacharis in Barak Valley got converted to Hinduism because of their connection with Manipuris and hence write their name as Barmans.....even large parts of Barak Valley was part of Manipur in ancient times...by the Jiri Treaty 1833 with Gambhir singh , Jiri river was made the boundary of Manipur...before that chandrapur near banskandi was the western border of Manipur...Long live Manipuris...Manipuri language shall survive in Assam... A Meitei

Manipuri language must be included in Assam

Since Manipuri Language has already been included in 8 th schedule in the constitution of India why Assam Government is trying to throw away our right to study Manipuri language in school level and exclude the same as Associate official language of Assam. I appeal to the government of Assam not to discriminate amongst all inhabitants of Assam especially the manipuri people whose mothet tongue had already been included as Associate official language of Assam. The latest decision taken by Assam Government is against the Right to Education. I request the government of Assam to kindly look into the matter.

The existence of a community is defined by it's language. Giving a respect to somebody's language means giving a respect to the community per se. Therefore, I want my mother tongue to be respected. We can't forget our the language taught by our mothers at any cost. We will keep on studying in our language only which is already in the 8th schedule of Indian Constitution.
