Include a Skateboard Park in Killington Rec Master Plan

As an MA resident who visits Killington frequently, I would love to see a skatepark in the town. The passion for snowboard and skate culture that the locals possess is evident and has made a huge impact on my life ever since my first visit almost 25 years ago. From my first visit to Darkside to my first glimpse of K Parks, Killington has been synonymous with snowboard culture since my youth and that’s what keeps me coming back. A skatepark would be the perfect accent for one of the coolest towns in the country!

PLEASE include a skatepark for all the eager kids to have somewhere local to ride!

Please secure the positive path of the next generations to come by providing them a space to come together as well as an outlet to help them blow off steam or just get away from the world to cruise the bowl.

Killington is definitely a need of a skatepark. Gives the younger generation something to do for the well being rather than go out to the local bars and potentially ruin their life. Skateboarding is not a crime. It’s a cultural and welcoming sport just like skiing/snowboarding. I’m 100% with this idea. The possibilities for these younger kids can be huge. We see it with dark side. Young skilled teenagers riding pro levels just imagine what could happen with a skatepark. It’s more than a sport it’s an outlet

Killington NEEDS a skatepark. Hosting comps, bringing more young people to the area in the summer, something to do after mountain biking, etc. Dark side should also be involved.

Dark side has carried everything on there back these years with the ramp and people wanna skate other things a than a mini ramp with out having to drive all the way to ludlow almost every snowboarder/skier in killington skates and this will be very helpful to locals and the kids at kms
