Sadly I've come to expect this sort of vile bullying tactic towards anybody who publicly promotes women's rights. My thoughts are with Marion and her family and I hope the police and politicians who enabled this are thoroughly ashamed - they certainly should be!!

Apparently everyone needs their rights "defending" these days, a part from women fighting for women's rights... shame on Scotland

This is a test case - we must ensure it fails!

Standing up for women's rights is a fundamental right

An apology is due to Marion Millar who is merely spoken for her basic human rights as a female. Women deserve protection, not attack.

I can't believe this is happening in Scotland. Good luck defending freedom of speech.

I am not even from Scotland but I am appalled with this blatant harassment. To the Police in Scotland: women all over the world are watching you. So far you have been found wanting.

I can’t believe what I’m reading. I faced a situation similar a year and a half ago and it was the most terrifying gut wrenching experience of my life, especially when they involve your children. Hang in there xx

Shame in the SNP for allowing all this nonsense in the first place. Mind you it’s all about money

In Australia, including the 22 countries I have personally travelled to. Not one police officer in any country would charge a woman for showing ribbons! Charged because she pleaded her innocence? A woman should never speak a word to police. Police will twist anything a woman has to say to suit them. A man walks into Scotland Yard saying 'that officers badge resembles communism.' Is he charged? No!! So what is a woman being charged with a noose look alike for? Is this a joke.? How dare Scotland Yard support erasing women! Your country will be losing my tourism dollars. I will fly to meet women from your country elsewhere.
