I had a respected Lincoln teacher tell me Cathy is the best principal/boss she's ever had. Other teachers have echoed the highest of compliments. My family has benefitted from her leadership especially from the amazing talent she has recruited and built up.

I am 27 years old and I remember when Mrs. Hamilton was the assistant principal and when Mrs. Dudzik (spelling) retired she took over as principal. She has always been in a leadership role as such and deserves to stay! She is more than deserving and has proved her ability over each year and Lincoln has grown so much with her help.

I have 3 children going through Lincoln and have known Mrs. Hamilton since my 7th grader started Lincoln 7 years ago. She has always been a joy to see and I always notice her passion for children and what she does. I also worked with her on a design for the inner courtyard and she always paid attention to the details and was enthusiastic about seeing the designs into fruition so the kids could enjoy the space while being st Lincoln. She needs to keep this position as I know people like her are not easy to find.

Cathy has been a dedicated D97 employee and champion for three decades. Please give her the respect she deserves for her efforts to the children, employees, parents, and community of Oak Park by extending her contract.

Principal Hamilton is one of the biggest reasons I went into Early Childhood Education. She was a huge help in my success, did so much to aide me while I was earning my degree, and I have seen first hand how very loved she is by her staff and students.

Shame on the Superintendent for hiding behind the unmandated requirement "that her [Hamilton's] retirement in 2017 was 'irrevocable' and could not be rescinded." What a sham. It's entirely within the Superintendent's purview to allow the retirement to be withdrawn, and we aren't fooled. Take your responsibility seriously, exercise sound judgement, and do the right thing.

Highly recommended principal!

Would hate to see us say goodbye to such an asset to the District in this negative way.

I vote for mrs Hamilton to remain as principal.

Support of senior principals adds to the leadership of District 97.

Very disappointed in the Board's decision making to date. Please revisit your stance on Ms. Hamilton and retain this excellent administrator for the sake of our children! No burdensome precedent will be set for District 97 by working with her to find an agreeable employment arrangement for all parties.

Cathy Hamilton is a valued and highly productive employee of District 97. She has provided many years of dedicated service to the students and families of Oak Park. It is time for the administration to support its staff! Keep her employed!

I am stunned that the board would treat a loyal, long-time leader in this way. Imagine this kind of bureaucratic mess happening to you and ask yourself how you would want the organization you had served for so long to treat you.

Do the right thing!

She's an excellent administrator.

This can't be allowed happen to a citizen who has contributed so much as in her capacity as Principal. Who made a decision in good faith the specifics of which changed dramatically.

Cathy is a wonderful role model for all students. Keep her at Lincoln.
