Final supporters
Different urgent and serious reasons made it imperative to find a new location for our schools come September 2014 and the location of 129 Long Circular Road was identified and selected as very appropriate for the purpose
We – Arbor and Rosewood parents – were very pleased to learn of the identification of such and we think is in an ideal temporary location, therefore we endorse the effort of our Directors in this regard and so we express it with our signatures below.
There is no greater benefit for our society than education given in the best of environments and the Maraval area will be greatly enriched with this new addition to their neighbourhood

It is understandable to have reservations about a venture that may pose greater traffic congestion in any neighborhood. However it is very impressive to read the planning details which this institution has undertaken to minimize that negative impact by acquiring additional adjacent land space for the sole purpose of accommodating the anticipated traffic flow. Let's give this institution - an education provider for our youths - a chance to prove itself as being an enhancement not just to the neighourhood of Maraval but moreso to the larger community of the Port-of-Spain area.
As a resident of Maraval I'd like to say why not put the school in Diego Martin or St Ann's or Port of Spain or somewhere else not near to Maraval To all those who say that a school enhances the neighborhood and property value I have a suggestion why not accept the school in your neck of the woods I have nothing against the school but I object to what appears to be a determined effort to proceed with notably little being said by the school also notable is the lobby on behalf of the school - I haven't done a thorough scientific survey but which of the pro-Arbor lobbyists live in Maraval ? A school should not find itself in such a controversial situation
Can you imagine individuals against the opening of school? A place where children learn, a place that produces individuals for our future. Why not raise a concern over the escalating prices or crime in the country? Where are their priorities? Imagine educated individual choose to displace kids rather than to put their ego aside for our future generation. Why not stand up for something more important that benefits everyone. When Maraval was plagued with burglary along the Long Circular Road for years, why didn't the Maraval residents take action to ensure that all their residents are safe by posting stories and reports? I am really disappointed by their actions towards a school.
The 'residents' have not even given the school a chance to show how it plans to deal with the traffic. It's typical. The feeling is once the traffic is not in my area, it's ok. A lot of these same 'residents' have children attending the international and Canadian schools in residential areas. These schools add a great deal of traffic to these areas, yet these parents see nothing wrong with that.
The parents need to be EXEMPLARY in their dropping/ picking up conduct if this is to work . The school needs to put in a good system for this and it MUST be enforced . Fining those who don't comply is a good way of getting through to the most hardened ! Maybe this money could be put back into the local community in some way ........

My point is the same people who are against the school would not be against it if their children were attending. Westmoorings has two schools already. Petit Valley has the Canadian one as well as Bryn Moore. Port of Spain and its environs is small and people will complain no matter what area is chosen. My suggestion just get used to it. No one fussed when superpharm and starlite drugs opened. Why was that??? Was there need for either considering youngs and the ones in royal palm and ellersie were already there?

A true residential neighborhood is complete when it includes schools, places of worship, supermarkets, banks and eating places. Property values will escalate with the opening of Arbor and Rosewood schools as was the experience of Westmoorings when a school moved into their neighborhood. "The future of the nation is in the children's school bag". Citizens of Trinidad & Tobago stand in support of education and schools!
