We, the undersigned residents of Astoria, support the creation of a mural in the Astoria Heights Park playground. We believe that our neighborhood’s children deserve a safe, clean, and beautiful place in which to play and that a mural would be a terrific improvement to our park.

We are signing this petition to demonstrate our conviction that the mural project represents an important and worthwhile endeavor deserving of our enthusiastic support. It would make the playground more attractive and make us proud as neighborhood residents who care about our park.

We feel that the process of creating and installing a mural as a community will be a galvanizing force for good in our neighborhood as it has proven to be in so many others.
