I wholeheartedly support these demands both as a student of the Faculty and as an employee. Ensuring the safety and learning of our Black and Indigenous students, and other students of colour, must be a priority for the Faculty of Information if any of the work done there is to be truly meaningful.

The iSchool needs to show true commitment to anti-racism through actionable items, especially the ones provided above!

"Hiring a full-time, student-approved, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator for the iSchool so that the burden of labour no longer has to be fully performed by students" !!!! This is so important! Students can't be the only ones putting in the work. Thank you Jace & Lo (& the many others who were involved) for pushing this forward.

These are concrete actions that the iSchool can make to truly demonstrate that it cares about its BIPOC students†rice. Having just graduated, I want to see change implemented for for future students.

I fully support these demands and agree with others that these should be fulfilled by the end of 2020. All teaching institutions must do better to support their BIPOC students.

Change needs to happen in our schools. Our professors need to step up by taking action against white supremacy instead of crying for "diversity."

I am a wider member of the iSchool community and work as an archivist & records manager with iSchool-educated professionals. I support these demands, which are highly implementable & will create broader positive impacts in the archival, library, museum, and information fields. I ask the iSchool to robustly fulfill each demand by the end of 2020.
Time for change.
It's time to step up and do better.
