The actors who have publicly condemned JK Rowling by grossly distorting her words to shape their public images should be ashamed of their abhorrent contribution to rape culture. The violent obsession many social media extremists have with her can be likened to a form of terrorism. They are politically motivated and seek to oppress those who choose to defend her. Many of us who support her cannot even reveal our identities, for fear of becoming a targets of the sadistic social media extremists who are have immature obsessions with seeking revenge. I am someone who was repeatedly coerced raped and abused by an individual who years later claimed a trans identity, originally blaming those actions on the possession of a specific sex organ.

JK Rowling was and is one of the great heroes in my life. I really am proud of her for being such a Harry and standing by convictions that she has that unpopular. I don't even know whether I agree with them or not, but that doesn't feel important. I wish I had her courage, generally.

I think her comments refer to male sexual predators, not trans people.
