A person should not be beat up for their beliefs. The alphabet gets mad if we don't support their beliefs but it's okay if they don't support ours.

Support JK Rowling absolutely and totally. She is an intelligent and educated woman who voiced her well considered opinion articulately. We are a democracy and as such we are allowed to voice our opinions. If we were not a democracy trans-gender people would be denied a voice. Women born women will genetically always be female. Men born men will always genetically be male. We can operate and medicate everyone on the planet but ultimately their DNA made them biologically one of two sexes. We spent hundreds of years fighting for recognition as women and we do not want to lose our independent female identity because people want to switch sex.

I hope you have many more supporters than detractors for your refreshingly brave and principled stance on the trans gender debate.
You certainly have my admiration and respect - I have always felt your intelligence and integrity were apparent from the get go.
I’m 72 this week, have never read a Harry Potter book and didn’t particularly enjoy the two films I saw - but Hey - can’t have everything.

I do not hate anyone and I am not transphobic but I am a biological woman who believes that a trans woman's lived experience is not the same as mine or visa versa and that we have separate issues and that I shoukd be allowed to voice this and have my rights as a biological woman heard, respected and understood and that it should be accepted. Trans women are marginalised and suffer discrimination for very different reasons and their lived experience is very different. We are not the same.
