Identity is not more important than and does not supersede biology, or material reality.
Women have long been oppressed and fought hard for our rights. We are a sex class with protected rights, and obfuscating what a ‘woman’ is means we erode those rights.
Ensuring that every person can live their best lives free from abuse should never mean that we deny biology, material reality or the rights of others.
Identity should not lead to the erasure of reality.
