The words „woman“ and „man“ are defined by sex! NOT gender! There is NO spectrum in sex! This is a scientific statement, NOT an insult!

I very much disagree with JK Rowling's stance on transgender issues, but I also believe that the discourse surrounding her has not been edifying in any way, nor democratic in spirit. For a writer to be harassed ruthlessly for just publishing a book is not something condemnable enough to be worthy of mob-ruled internet rage that far often, as in this case, becomes death threats and all other things that again dethrones the center of our focus on the real human issues at hand and makes us all worse for it, inciting an us vs. them mentality that does the transgender community any real justice.

Shutting down debate by bullying and threatening can never be acceptable. Doing it because someone has stated biological sex is real is dangerously anti-science.
