The vitriol and aggression aimed at women who have simply sought discussion and asked for there to be a more rigorous look at the possible outcomes of trans lobbyists aims has not been reported on and denounced in public enough. Women and men who have put in the time to study all the evidence and have the intelligence to see the problems and in fact dangers that could be the result of both self ID and the early medical treatment of children are being demonised as terfs, fascists, etc etc I only hear this hate speech coming from trans lobbyists and some of their supporters here. There are many people/groups in the world whose views do not hold up under a rigorous gaze. Mostly they are those whose aims require mob mentality, thought reform of the wider public and restriction of free speech. They usually employ coercive methods and violence in action and speech toward those who disagree with them as they seek to impose their world view. These methods can't be allowed to gain foothold by a caring intelligent society. JK Rowling has never shut anyone down, sought or advocated violence of any kind against any person, or spread hate. JK Rowling has challenged mob mentality, mysogony, and also some well meaning people who just haven't studied the facts.

It is vital that women have Trauma-informed single sex services to effectively recover from men’s violence against them. 991 women were murdered by men who were current or former intimate partners or family members between 2009-2018 and it is important that we acknowledge their needs. JK Rowling is doing an incredible job of showing compassion for women. Stating you know what a woman is and what she needs in a world bursting with men’s violence against them is not an act that deserves such overt and vile misogyny as a backlash.
