The violent and sexualised abuse that JK Rowling and many other women have been subjected to online, is unacceptable and needs to stop. I hope, that as many others sign this petition, it will spur others to speak up and join the pushback against sexism and misogyny.

That anybody is patting themselves on the back for the authoritarianism on display throughout this debacle, or congratulating themselves for being on the 'right side of history', then you have truly lost your way.
