I stand with JK Rowling because I stand for common sense, free speech and women's rights.

Male and female people are different and have distinct lived experiences shaped by the biological reality of their bodies. To label this as hate speech, and assert that "woman" is a collection of gender stereotypes is regressive and harmful. I stand with Ms Rowling and Ms Forstater.

Women are women - standing up for them is not transpobic. Thank you for speaking up

The whole episode has been shameful. Plain, old fashioned misogyny. I can’t wait for this madness to end. It doesn’t help women and it doesn’t help people who are trans either.

My full and unqualified support to JKRowling for what she said and in the face of the horrendous abuse she has had since.

Signing as a feminist, doctor and mother. JKR is defending women’s rights to single sex spaces, and nothing she said was “transphobic”. The rape and death threats she received illustrate exactly why those spaces are needed.

She’s stood for free speech and in defence of women’s rights at the time when they’ve been most at risk from lobbyists seeking to negate the very definition of woman

Standing in solidarity with all women subject to misogynistic bullying, silencing and "cancel culture" in all fields.

To show solidarity to all women who face abuse online for simply expressing rational and legitimate opinions, particularly when relevant to their experiences as female of the protected sex characteristic.
