Totally agree. As a rape and dv survivor women need to be recognised as a group that suffers huge oppressions because of their biological category, not their identity. Gender IS oppression, not the way out of it.

It's frightening that a dissenting view from whichever is the current 'acceptable' (woke) view can draw such vitriol and threats of violence. It seems sensible debate and differing/conflicting views are simply not allowed or you will be 'cancelled'. Women have a right to discuss issues which affect them and share real concerns about sex based rights being eroded.

I admire JK Rowling so much. She chose to speak out on this subject to help others with neither her reach Nor her resources. She did so clearly and with compassion and I have yet to find someone who has criticised her on this issue who can tell me what she said that they object to. Women will be heard and JKR is a hero.

Everyone should feel able to express an opinion as long as it does not express a direct threat of harm to others. Responses to that opinion should not be expressed in a form that avoids attacking the person themselves. I support JK Rowling
