Thank you for organising this letter. It’s utterly shameful that JK Rowling is subject to this level of abuse. It’s mind blowing that we live in a world that does not allow us to question anything? She is always measured and speaks from the heart... and the abusers should look at themselves instead.

This case is a perfect way to highlight how online social media has a deep grip on our society and the way we navigate social issues. JK Rowling raised her concerns for the safety of Women’s Rights and for the children gripped by ‘Gender Identity’ ideology. She did so compassionately, yet received a backlash of the most hateful and spiteful kind (not to mention real threats of physical violence/sexual violence). The mob mentality showed itself clearly and yet she was left without the support of others in her position. Instead she has had the unwavering support of thousands of women and men who looked on in horror at the treatment she received. We are standing on the precipice of something very dangerous when free speech becomes policed to this degree. When we lose the right to raise concerns over how our children (in particular) are being fast tracked into medical procedures that have little to no long term research on the damage it could do to their health and their bodies - we risk losing all safeguarding procedures that protect who are truly our most vulnerable demographic. It’s time we all stand up and say we are with her and the many women who have been fighting this battle long before JK Rowling brought it into the mainstream.

What JK Rowling has said is right. Anyone with an ounce of sense knows this and she should not be subjected to such abuse for speaking out.

I stand in solidarity with J K Rowling because I stand for decency in public discourse and against bullying and misogyny.

I am grateful to those that have signed, given how none of this viciousness should have occurred in the first place. I have hope that soon enough, people will feel encouraged to voice their concerns without fear of losing their jobs or being ostracised from society for merely wishing to ensure a valid conversion takes place.

An attempt to silence women by threats , harassment abuse , destroy their careers taking women's rights back decades for a group of well funded extremists

Sadly I have to use my pseudonym as I would most likely be reprimanded at the organisation I work for if it was know I had signed.
