Misogynistic hatred of women and abuse has to be stopped. She has done nothing to warrant such vile vitriol. She has done nothing wrong.

Protecting the sex based rights of women is *not* transphobic . Sex is a biological fact ( if in any doubt check out the self declared inmate at Limerick prison in Ireland / a known threat to women - self declared as a woman - now in a women’s prison with access to many vulnerable women . Questioning this , is not saying all trans women are like this . But the lack of protection for women smacks of extreme misogyny in my opinion.

Cyber abuse should be unacceptable. Rape threats should be unacceptable. Threats of violence and death should be unacceptable. You cannot regard women as human beings only if they meet your definition of desert. Such behaviour displays an authoritarian misogyny that is deeply unworthy.
And the inability to carve out common space will harm us all. We have to live together. Women matter. Trans people matter. If we are unable to communicate honestly about our needs without being silenced and subject to abuse, we cannot find a lasting political solution together.

I wholly support this petition as I don’t think JK Rowling deserves the treatment she is suffering nor has one single person highlighted any exact wording that proves her to be transphobic in the slightest .

No-one should be abused as she has, disagree with her (and mine) opinions by all means, but when it becomes violent, then the problem rests with the aggressor.

Agreed. Everyone has the right to live how they want and that includes JK Rowling. She shouldn’t be cancelled for stating facts that we all know to be true

Supporting women and their rights does not axiomatically preclude a person from supporting Trans rights or any other gender related rights. We can do both.

JK Rowling never made any 'transphobic' comments. She rather spoke up for the rights of biological females. For doing that she was subjected to death threats and the vilest abuse--most of it from men. She is a brave and resolute woman and I fully support her 'controversial' (for which read 'sane') opinions. It's time to stand alongside her in defending science, reason and basic common sense from people attempting to tear reality apart.
