I have been shocked by the ferocious way in which JK Rowling has been attacked for voicing her truth. I do not approve of bullying and threatening and attempting to shut down a women’s voice especially One who is a survivor of male sexual violence, as so many of us are, who’s ideas are shaped by that experience. To be met with brutality instead of support and compassion, I do not agree with the dramatic polarisation of so many Social issues within politics. Democracy means that we should win arguments with the strength of our ideas not by a fascistic campaign of intolerance, threatening behaviour and shutting people’s voices down. For those reasons I am signing this petition
