J.K Rowling seems to be a perfectly reasonable person who expressed an opinion. It is fair enough if people do not agree with that opinion, and if they choose not to acknowledge it or to comment upon it, then that it fair and reasonable in terms of debate and freedom of speech. I do however feel that the level of abuse and vitriol she has received is entirely disproportional to the comments made.
