These has to be a conversation that includes uncomfortable opinions, I do not believe for one minute JK Rowling is presenting biased, and I do not believe that she does not embrace equality for everyone. But when one equality dismisses another, and that other is still struggling to achieve it, silencing is not the answer.

I always thought 1984 was just fiction. I never could have imagined it would be prophetic. J. K. Rowling’s treatment has been despicable. We must not let these small-minded unthinking children dictate to us.

Il faut choisir ! Si les études de genre sont une science et non une idéologie alors il faut accepter toutes les recherches et donc la contraction. Si la transphobie est punie par la loi alors il faut une condamnation pénale pour traiter quelqu'un de transphobe, sans quoi c'est de la diffamation. Chaque médaille a son revers. Ce harcèlement doit cesser. L'évincer de sa propre oeuvre est en dessous de tout.

She is expressing so exactly what so many of us feel and know. It’s a sad world that does not accept or give space for simple truths from those who do not express thoughts exactly like their own. She stated a fact.

I have no issue with transgender women however I do have an issue with bullying, harassment and this obsession with walking all over women’s hard earned rights. Being able to get up in the morning and self declare as female and then demand access to female only spaces is not right, it is open to abuse by men who are not transgender and have absolutely no desire to become so. Women and young girls have a right to feel safe that is not being transphobic it’s called protecting yourself. J K Rowling is merely giving voice to the thoughts of millions of women. Neither her or any other woman deserves to be vilified and threatened for daring to have an opinion different from that held by a vociferous and hate filled minority. You earn support, respect and recognition by supporting and respecting others not by sending them death threats.
