As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community I can honestly say that JK Rowling's comments were nowhere near transphobic. They also were not nearly as horrific as the things these extremists have said and done in retaliation. Let's don't lose our heads here people. The war on science is now coming from both the far left and the right.

I am proud to stand with JK. She is truly brave and has become the mouthpiece for many (without asking to be) who are feeling similar ways, that they can't speak freely, who's rights and beliefs are similarly being stripped away and challeneged. I am in awe of how strong she has remained and her stance remaining unmoved. #istandwithjkrowling

We will never evolve if we can't be tolerant when before a different opinion. She expressed her opinion and we need to be civil and respect her as a woman and professional.

She is one of the few standing for women's rights and stopping the appropriation of our safe spaces, sports, bathrooms, Dr. Office's and leisure spaces from Men, predators and unsafe interactions. Women have to start standing up or once again Men will take everything away from us and we will continue to to bullied into silence.

I've read her statement, and believe the accusations of transphobia are entirely unwarranted. She's a caring and compassionate person who speaks only after considering her words, and in this case her detractors read into her words something that wasn't there, not by a long stretch.

Nothing she said was "Transphobic" and oh BTW, everything you love about Harry Potter, came from her brain.

JK Rowling is not hateful, and is not deserving of the hate she is receiving. End of story

I support JK Rowling's defence of the erosion of women's rights. The hate and misogyny she has been subjected to shows that there is much more that needs be done in the protection of the hard won rights of women.

She may be a creative writer but that doesn't mean she behaves or even thinks like everyone else or expresses herself like others would. It also doesn't mean she keeps comments to herself. She has a right to speak freely as everyone who feels strongly about anything. If anyone thinks she said something wrong that instead of hating her maybe educating her in what the opposite believe is the right thing. Criminal and hateful acts of shut her out and banning her will not change her thoughts or views. Only more hate will grow and others then hurt someone so bad that they've destroyed that person forever in so many ways and those who took the violent route will never admit not take responsibility for outcome of one persons life.
