JKR is compassionate to trans people whilst speaking up in defence of biological women's sex based protections. Protections necessary due to women and girls vulnerability to biological male predators.

I find it pathetic that Britain has "celebrated" the 100 anniversary of women's suffrage by telling women to shut up and put up.

I am in total support of JK and think her exclusion from the Harry Potter celebration is a betrayal of her by people who would have nothing without her

The abuse this woman has tolerated & the betrayal from the cast, is unbelievably cruel. The tv "reunion" is also insulting. To be betrayed by mediocre actors is so very wrong. Without JKR, they would not have acting careers or be rich. JKR has supported women, pointing out the reluctance to use the word "woman" is the erosion of women. Those that oppose her view are just furious that they cannot silence her. JKR is a courageous women & she has my support.

I love your story. It makes sense. And I just wanted to give you credit for listening to the Stephen Fry version. Hands down the best. I can't stand the Dale versions.

We should all support and stand with JK Rowling. She gave us a world of magic and she's being treated unfairly by those she's made rich & famous as a result. She's done nothing but state biological facts. We love you, Jo!

I'm sorry I joined the chorus for a moment, I was wrong. It is RIDICULOUS and laughable and preposterous what is happening to Rowling at the moment.
I saw a trans person saying - "You don't understand how this feels any more than I understand how people of colour feel."
I responded immediately. "I'm mixed-race. If you said I'm not black or I'm not white, would that be a racist statement?"
In the same way that we understand that a cafe-latte (a drink I compare myself to) is not a coffee bean or a glass of milk, we understand that I may be European, but not a white one. This is similar to the latte being a dairy product, but not a glass of milk. You still wouldn't give it to someone who is lactos intolerant, but you alsp wouldn't put it in your cereal.
We understand in the same way that I am African but not a black African. This is like the coffee bean vs the cafe-latte. You wouldn't give the cup of coffee to some one with a heart condition, any more than you'd make them eat coffee grounds. Yet you understand that you can leave a coffee bean in a cupboard for days, which you can't do with the latte.
In this metaphor, you grasp that this is not about valuing coffee beans, milk or lattes differently, it's about understanding that they have different needs and challenges. This is how I articulate mixed-race identity.
I think mixed-race identity is very similar to a non-binary sexuality, because it is a non-binary race. As a mixed race person I have had to understand when not to foreground. I've had to understand when to put black people's issues first because the root of all prejudice to all of us was rooted in racism towards black people. In the same way, I've had to understand when it is time to call out monoracial privilege shared by all people who have parents of the same colour, no matter what that colour is.
I think we can draw a parrallel with the trans issue. All J.K. is asking is for trans people not to foreground the issues that affect thos

Reality matters. Males who identify as women are neither female or women Female places, protections, sports, refuges, prisons must be sex based. Respect is due for female reality . Distinct from Trans identities.

The language and practices currently promoted by some extreme sections of the lgbtq community impinged in the dignity and wellbeing of real women.
