In-person return to school with an on-line (virtual) option

Schools and teachers are essential to our kids' futures and our economy. For anyone not wanting to send their kids to public school, they are welcome, as they always were, to choose not to.

I support the ability to have all kids (K-12) back in school (in person). For staff (and families in general) that have age/condition concerns, a targeted approach to addressing their needs seems appropriate.

The kids NEED to be in school

Both School and Teachers are essential.

Our young adults need structure and leadership, school is a necessity.

This seems like a win win for so many different family situations!! Would love to see this happen!!

I support this petition. Virtual school does not engage our students. We need to consider the mental health of our students and not leave out of the discussion the lasting impacts our decisions will have on them.

A thoughtful presentation of an approach to safely opening schools in Waunakee.

If we all collaborate together WITH each other, I believe our amazing teachers, staff and families can find manageable and safe measures to make this proposal work. We all need to be flexible and the sooner we begin working towards the same goal the better for our students.

WCSD please provide options that permit parents to choose the instruction model that is best for their families

Back to school!

Very concerned for our family and extended family. Every school year brings immediate health issues.

I fully support this petition. I just read a few comments that were giving an impression that live streaming classes could be also used as a way to “keep tabs” on teachers, which as a teacher myself, I find degrading. All other comments have been fantastic. Thank you for organizing this!

My daughter wants this.

It is definitely possible that I missed something but, I have not noticed any comments that were anything but positive towards our awesome teachers, all of these folks seem to be saying that our children will suffer without them, I can't think of any higher praise. We wouldn't create a petition to get our children back into the classroom with teachers that we didn't think the world of.

Need to get back to a normal schedule.

It is important for our children to have the option of in person schooling so we can continue to effectively educate them and also to provide socialization.
