So unfortunate that this is even a question. It makes NO sense to build this huge monstrosity on our lovely shore. Please don't let this happen! (Put it in a city or town somewhere, redesigned and smaller!)

Keep this hideous thing away from our shores. We can honour our vets and our freedom using tasteful means. We are not North Korea and the Harper dictatorship has fallen!

When do you intend to present this to government? I submitted an petition last night through the gov site. It is pending 5 supporters before it will go to MP McKenna and then open to public.

This concept is in extremely poor taste, symbolically. Also, I'm strongly opposed to the use of public space for a monument that takes away from the beauty of the natural park - as it was intended to be maintained.

Mother Nautre has already created a granite masterpiece at Green Cove. Mother (read "monstrosity") Canada will distroy this naturally rugged eauty.

What a hideous idea for a statue. And since when do we as a group, as Canadians, speak about our country as "Mother Canada"? The idea is so contrived. I would be ashamed of this Mother Canada statue if it came to be erected.
