There’s no safety in Newark. My little cousin Raheem Neal age 15 a freshmen at West Side High School. He was gun down on Court Street in the back of the complex where his mother and younger siblings stayed on January 14, 2013. I as well as my family am highly upset at this tragedy. As one of the tax payers of Newark, N.J. WE NEED RESULTS.... There’s a lot of talking about what’s going to change and not enough change is happening. In that area alone there have been too many killings. There are still no cameras at this complex either. Politician scream there for the people but the people don’t see any changes. We Raheem’s Family is very irate and upset about this killing of a son, a brother, cousin, a grandson, uncle , mentor, and respectful young man. The city of Newark need’s to show more action. POLITICIANS …Think about it being your son or daughter. Action would be taken place as soon as the body hit the ground. Why can’t we get the same output? Families in Newark are losing their children to the streets. All these families don’t do drugs, they aren’t all bad kids. All the children aren’t the same ... here’s a great young man with a future ahead of him. Didn’t get in trouble, went to school every day, loved his siblings and took care of a lot of children where he lived, they looked up to him. His mother, aunts and uncles all looked after the children where she lived. My little cousin was like an up and coming PRESIDENT OF NEWARK, with goals in his life of taken care his family. There are a lot of issues in Newark that are not being handled properly. No jobs, young black men and women begin killed; children are even being killed behind the stupidity and all you hear is talk and more talking. In the mean time things are still not begin done. The people of Newark helped you guys get elected into office to make change, not build centers, and motels that Newark residents can’t even get jobs in, Change isn’t being made where it needs to be. Men , women and children are still being killed and the end result was another young black man dead on the streets of Newark. Now hears when we stand up to you as the voice of the people. Help use shut these streets down so our children can go to the parks, pools, malls, libraries, school, anywhere without begin bullied, beat up, shot, stabbed, or killed. Help us because in the end you was elected to do just that HELP THE PEOPLE.
