I think this sets a tone of morale for all of the fire and police staff that should clearly not be ignored.

Have the blue lines for all officers who have lost their lives, but keep the "In Memory of #23". All departments in the US should do this and if more than 1 officer has given all than split the cars in the fleet equally

As a fellow officer, it should be kept. I wear a pin honoring an officer in an adjoining town who suffered a LOD Death. I have worn the pin for 10 years in honor of him and to remind me to go home at the end of shift.

Why would anyone want to forget that this brave officer made the ultimate sacrifice. Not only is this a way to respect his memory, it is also a reminder to citizens of the dangers that LEO face daily. Extremely sad to think that this is even an issue for your City.

It is a sad day that a city would choose to forget a policeman who gave his life to protect and serve his city. Yes it was his job but he chose to put on the uniform and to come to work to protect and serve shame on you law makers to take his name from these cars.

Pete was my brother in law and I have known him since I was a child. He was the type of man and police officer that exemplifies courage, respect, and human kindness. He is representation to all officers of the type of conduct they should have throughout their careers. His number should remain a constant reminder of all those things that an officer must be and what danger awaits them everyday. He is like an angel watching over them and his number keeps them and the rest of the community mindfull of the risks that officerstake for them. Keep #23 on all the squads forever. His story should never be forgotten and we should stand together as a proud community honoring those who serve and have served us.

You should honor your heroes forever. This tribute was designed to do just that. It was in memory and honor of Officer Pete Larsen who made the ultimate sacrifice for the Beloit, Wisconsin comunity.

Please continue to memorialize #23! My father was killed in the line of duty, and I cannot express how important it is for me to know that he is remembered by his department and his community. Please do not take away this very meaningful tribute to your fallen officer.

Officer Larson was injuried when I was still a 1 year Rookie and died the year I went through a critical incident. If this was in my department the honor of Officer Larson's name on my cruiser would serve as a reminder that Officer Larson is reminding me to stay safe!

A simple tribute to one of your own. I understand the decals will be donated at ni charge, so not allowing them to be applied to the squad cars is an insult to your residents and to all the Families of fallen officers arpund the US.
