I am an UiTM postgrad programme alumni. I was "lucky" I was able to go back for Christmas but to be honest, most of it was spent studying. No consideration at all towards other bumiputeras of different faith.

I support this petition because it is unfair for us when Malay can get 1 week holiday with Hari Raya in it but non-Muslims (especially Sabahans and Sarawakians) can't get this kind of privilege. Malaysia consist of Semenanjung, Sabah and Sarawak, UiTM higher-ups should know and be considerate about that or they're not a Malaysian but just a Semenanjung (Tanah Melayu) people.

They deserve to go back home and be with their loved ones. Be it near or far. The struggle is real here. It’s 2018 now, tolerance has to be promoted pronto. This has nothing to do with religion or race, this is humanity. Let’s make this happen!

All students should be respected despite of their religion and given the same opportunity to be with their families on their festive season.

We need equility in this situation. Christian students need to be given the freedom to celebrate Christmas as well.
