Overcrowding on the Finch West bus is a serious issue for the City of Toronto York West communities. It makes taking the bus an uncomfortable and possibly unsafe experience. Additionally, it creates longer wait times than expected, which can cause serious inconveniences for many community members. Most importantly, overcrowding causes public transport to be unreliable. For a community filled with students and low-income families whose only means of transportation may be the buses and the subway, these overcrowded buses are unacceptable. Moreover, for parents with strollers and people with mobility impairments, these overcrowded buses are completely unable to meet their needs.
